Mission Statement
The mission of the Senior Services Department is to provide high-quality supportive services to enhance the well-being of Berwyn’s elderly and disabled with professionalism and care. Seasonal assistance programs for qualifying seniors are available, as well as mobility services that provides safe transportation to healthcare, grocery stores and social programing.
La Misión del Departamento de Servicios para Personas de la Tercera Edad es brindar servicios de apoyo de alta calidad. Con la meta de mejorar el bienestar de las personas mayores con diferentes niveles de capacidades, residentes de Berwyn, con profesionalismo y atención. Programas de asistencia están disponibles para cada estación del año para personas de la tercera edad que califican, así como servicios de movilidad lo cual brinda transporte seguro a tratamientos médicos, a supermercados y eventos sociales.

Mobility Transportation (HUD Income Verification Required): Passengers must be Berwyn residents and at least 60 years of age or disabled. Proof of disability with application required. View Mobility Brochure in Senior Services Handouts below.

Snow Removal & Lawn Service (Income Verification Required): Participants must be 65 years of age Berwyn homeowners or disabled person with no able-bodied person under age 65 living in same household and meet the annual income guidelines. View Seasonal Senior Services Brochure below.

Senior Programs at the Berwyn Public Library
The Berwyn Public Library offers programs for those over 60. For more information call 708-795-8000 or visit the Berwyn Public Library calendar for program schedules.
