Commission Function
The City of Berwyn The Board of Fire and Police Commission evaluates and appoints all sworn officers and members of the City's Fire and Police Departments, and are responsible for their promotion and discipline, as provided in Article 10, Division 2.1, of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 Il-CS 5/10-2.1-1 et seq.), and except as otherwise provided by City ordinance pursuant to the City's exercise of its home rule powers and subject to any applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Meeting Schedule & Agendas:
Regular meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Berwyn Police Station.
Primary Meeting Location: 6401West 31st Street, Berwyn, IL. 60402 / 2nd floor Conference Room (West)
Time: 1:00pm (This is contingent on testing and interview schedules.)
The Special meetings for the Commission are the call of the chair because commission meetings are related to the testing schedule and notice from the fire and police department regarding hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions.
