Mission Statement
The City of Berwyn Department’s mission is to provide safe, clean drinking water to residents and businesses in the most environmentally and fiscally responsible manner by delivering a sufficient supply of water and efficiently managing waste and storm-water.

Residents and Businesses can pay their water and garbage bills at City Hall, 6700 West 26th Street. All major cards are accepted.
Commercial / Residential Water & Garbage Billing Department
Commercial Accounts: Monthly Meter Readings
All commercial establishments, and all residential premises containing five or more dwelling units and all commercial establishments containing one or more residential premises.
Residential Accounts: Quarterly (every 3 months) Meter Readings
All residential premises served containing four or fewer dwelling units.
Garbage, Sewage, and Water usage are computed on one bill.
Charges for water service shall be based on the amount of water consumed as shown by water meters. Bills for residential service shall be rendered monthly.

Sale of All Properties: Final readings must be requested at least 3 working days prior to closing. Final bills must be paid by cash, certified check, or an Illinois licensed attorney. A completed certificate of compliance must be filed in the Water Department before approval of the issuance of Real Estate transfer stamps.
