NOTE: It is the property owner's responsibility to dispose of fallen tree branches from trees within your property lines. The tree branches should then be cut into 4ft. sections and disposed with yard waste.

Furniture

  • Disposing of Large Furniture
    Answer: Large Furniture items include a sofa, couch, table, chair, bicycle, and or mattress box springs. Large Furniture needs to be taken out to your alley the day of or night before your scheduled garbage pickup. Please call Waste Management at 1-800-796-9696 to notify them 24 hours in advance. You will also need to call the Building Department Blight Division at 708-788-2660 Ext. 3211 to notify the City that the large furniture will be picked up.
  • Disposing of Large Appliances
    Answer: Large Appliances include refrigerators, washers, dryers and or stoves Large Appliances need to be taken out to your alley the day of or night before your scheduled garbage pickup. Any appliance with doors must have the doors removed before placing for pick-up. Please call Waste Management at 1-800-796-9696 to notify them, 24 hours in advance. You will also need to call the Building Department Blight Division at 708-788-2660 Ext. 3211 to notify the City that the large appliances will be picked up. NOTE: For Electronic recycling, please contact the Berwyn Public Works Department at 708-749-4700.
